Are Red Skelton and Ike Skelton, the Missouri representative, related?

you know i was watching him speak on Cspan a few weeks ago and thought the same thing. even jokenly asked wife if that was Red.

Not likely, ike was born in Lexington Missouri in 1931and Red was born in Vincennes, Indiana in 1913. their bio's on Wiki don't have any common links. i'm sure if they were closely related someone would have something out there.

i wouldn't doubt they are distant relative, they do look and sound very much alike.
