Somes sites were blocked by the system admin, bcoz of ur illegal usage of the internet in office which spoils u as well as the job which u r doing. For employees internet connection was given only for official purpose.

if u really want to see the personal mails request the administrator. Else it is better for u to see in browsing centre.

There are some softwares available to block the sites. eg. Hoopa. The sites whichever u open will be sent as email along with the timings to the administrator. so it is easy for the administrator to block all the unwanted sites which u visit.

if Hoopa is there, u can do onething. uninstall that software in ur pc. that is the only possible way.

Most organizations provide a proxy server for users to connect to the internet. This minimizes IP address usage as well as provides a single gateway where Admins can enforce organizational browsing security policies.

Though there are several sophisticated techniques for blocking users from certain specific websites, the most common way is by providing a wildcard string or wildcard IP address into the proxy server's "block" list.

For example, by putting the string "mail.yahoo.*" into the block list, the Admin can stop users from accessing http://mail.yahoo.com as well as http://mail.yahoo.co.uk. Sites such as Yahoo use several IP addresses so using the wildcard string works better in this case.

The best way to bypass this restriction is to use the site's direct IP address (by researching it through traceroute.org or other similar websites) and then connecting to the site using the IP address as the proxy will (probably) not be configured to block it. For example, if you visit www.xyz.com/login.jsp, you could instead point your browser to 192.9.200.1/login.jsp and see if that works.

Any further pages that try to use the blocked string should be also modified to replace the string with the IP address.

Another way is to use anonymous web proxies like the one at www.meebo.com which will allow you to browse any site you wish - which is why these are the first ones that Admins block.

On the other hand, it is a violation of policy to do things like this in most organizations and you would be better off not doing this at all since you risk termination of your job. Rather, buy a personal PC at home and browse those sites from that PC instead.

Ask personally on your administrator why the site was blocked. Don't do reckless things that may get you out of the job(unless of course you want it). It's not good working behind the backs of people especially if its your boss.

Respectfully ask if you really need the site, otherwise go back to your everyday work and just use the net oitside the office.
