see themselves remarrying after a failed long-term marriage and kids?

Well, remember most likely 1/2 of the people divorced probably didn't want to get divorced, but wanted to work on their marriages.

It only takes one person to end a marriage, but two to work on it. While I agree that both parties in any relationship make mistakes, it's a bit harsh and unreasonable to blame both for choosing divorce.

In many cases, one party has an affair or does something to damage the relationship and it is often that same person who chooses to end the marriage, while the faithful partner is trying to work things out.

So, for those who hope divorcees don't remarry, I respectfully ask that you look at re-marriage with the above information in mind.

I don't think a willing and faithful spouse should be judged for the unwilling and unfaithful partner they once had.

I don't think folks who divorce should run right back out there and get married right away. I believe they need to examine, with a professional if possible, their contribution to the bad marriage. Even if that contribution is merely choosing poorly.

So instead of judging divorced people, why not come down on folks who choose affairs and abuse over keeping their vows.

I'd get remarried again. My marriage was not all bad. In fact, the majority of it was great. Jason is a great dad (he adopted my daughter 1 year after we got married) and he was a great husband, until the very end, when the communication stopped. He is remarried now. I will be this year sometime.

I hope to eventually marry again, but I'm in no rush.

I was married 24 years the first time (divorced 11/2005). Our children were 22 and 20 years-old when we divorced (still an adjustment for them, but better than if they had been young ones).

Seventeen of the 24 were absolutely awesome!!
