Have your engine built to your spec's and save lots of $,
compared to what you are considering...

^lol 2.5 V6 inline :) It's one or the other!

First off, if you've got a 2.5L Supra, that's the 1JZ...an inline 6 cylinder engine...no V involved! It's long, and with the turbos hanging off the side, it's wide too. No problem if you've got the money to get your car customized...IF your car was rear-wheel-drive. All Supras are, the 2001 Cougar is front-wheel-drive...bummer. Putting a rwd engine in a fwd is not possible without significant and dangerous chassis modification. And the price of doing so would definitely cost more than a brand new car. So...no, the 2.5 1JZ will not fit in your Cougar.

If you were motivated, and flush with cash, you could do just about anything you want. Can you take it to Joes Garage and have them install it? No. You'll need a specialty shop and plenty, PLENTY, of money and time.
