Yes a hysterosalpingogram.

I know what they do, I set upand assist the Drs while doing them.

I am wondering if anyone else had a Dr tell them that.

yes I've had an HSG done. And i did conceive the next cycle after that. I had been trying for three years before that. They say sometimes the tubes have some slight debris which clears out by the dye in the HSG and so the egg gets a clear path to go through. I had a very painful HSG and I feel that something was there that blocked my fallopian tubes which cleared on its own through my HSG. I've also read somewhere that 80% HSG's result in pregnancy in the coming three months. So good luck. hope this is it for you.

Are you talking about a Hysterosalpingogram ?

I had one done because i had a vaginal septum (I was born with it/just a long flesh of skin that went straight up & down to my cervix which i had removed)
They done the test on me to see if everything was fine with my female organs which everything was.
I had that done when i was 19 but i didn't try to have a baby until i was 21.

Why It Is Done
A hysterosalpingogram is done to:

Detect a blocked fallopian tube. The test often is done for a woman who is having difficulty becoming pregnant. An infection that causes severe scarring of the fallopian tubes can block the tubes, preventing pregnancy. Occasionally a hysterosalpingogram will open a blocked tube.
Identify problems of the uterus, such as an abnormal shape or structure, an injury, polyps, fibroids, adhesions, or a foreign object in the uterus. These types of problems may cause painful menstrual periods or repeated miscarriages.
Determine whether surgery to reverse a tubal ligation has been successful.
Determine the success of a tubal ligation, if there is a question about the success of this surgery. However, this is rare.
A hysterosalpingogram is done mainly for women who are having difficulty becoming pregnant. Some studies suggest that this test may actually increase a woman's chance of becoming pregnant. This may be because injection of the contrast material may remove mucous plugs, straighten the fallopian tubes, and break through thin scar tissue.

When I had mine done last July my RE also told me it would increase my chances. He said he sees a lot of pregnancies within 6 months after having the test. He also said that when they use the oil based dye it seems to result in more pregnancies instead of the water based dye. I got pg my next cycle following my hsg last year but it resulted in miscarriage.

i don't understand who coined the wording, and can desire to declare i don't plenty look after the term. that's the backside of a weblog or perhaps a rant, the place one has an eye fixed placing out concept approximately something. all of us have them, in basic terms some are extra profound than others, and then we would desire to post them or talk them with others. while i became in college we had a matching element suggested as the around table talk. We dropped extremely paper with our matters of interest right into a container at any time, then at our conferences we drew one out, had 5 to 10 minutes to think of roughly it jointly as we've been given located, then all of us stated our wisdom and critiques regarding the problem, 3 to 5 minutes each and each. One problem, and 15 to twenty human beings, i got here upon this outstanding, and this is not something new.
