I have seen for sale plastic lumber you are supposed to be able to use for raised bed gardens. Apparently they do not fade, crack, split, etc., but I would like to know your thoughts and maybe experiences with this sort of product. Also, is it really worth the investment?

they would last forever because wood rots but my concern would be if you are in a place that has real cold temperatures in the winter, you may have to remove them and store them because the plastic may crack, that is why I am afraid to use that material on a deck, . I know landscaping timbers would be much cheaper that a deck, but they would have to give me a guarantee, if you have ever had resin chairs crack then you know what i am talking about.
