Hi there, I have been in a diabetic coma once, on a massive sugar low, for 24hrs.
I did not know that I was in a coma at all, and I did not know any of my surroundings etc.
I do remember waking up, and i thought I had a good sleep, and thought it was the next day, when the doc asked me what day it was, of cause I answered wrong, by being out by a day.
During that time frame, I do however remember having an outer body experience, to this day it still scares me to what actually happened. This coma occurred roughly 12 yrs ago. I have had no probs since.
I may've had dreams etc, but in honesty I can not remember having any. I was unaware of everything.

There is very little brain activity in a deep coma. I have read as you come up from the deeper levels that you can think and possibly dream and are aware of things going on around you, but you cannot move or respond. You can hear people talking to you, and doctor's encourage family members to talk to those who are in a coma.
I would be extremely interested in hearing about angelanj's experience.
