Contact your own police service. Unfortunately it is likely that the number in untracable but it is always worth a try.

Lots of scams use 070 (personal numbers) plus 08xx or 09xxx (premium rate) numbers.

Apart from messages that you have won something, or doing special deal on mobiles, some just ring once (or half a second) and then stop, so (dumb) people ring them back (and get charged, sometimes for answerphone with a 'hello, hello, can you speak up a bit... hello, I cannot hear you too well... ' message).

All the time you are on is costing you money, of course.

Simple answer - never ring back an unknown number !!!

(and if you use a work phone, don't forget the rip-off is paid by your firm, but is still wasting money, even if not from your own pocket).

i have had the same thing this morning, telling me i had won over £500,000. the national lottery say that it is a scam for possible id fraud, yet they say not to contact them about it.

i have replied to the scam mails advising them that i have contact the police.

These scams are very common, never open the e-mails. Never reply to them. Just delete them. (You can't win a lottery if you didn't buy a ticket.)

That's a mobile number - 07035901251, prefaced by UK Code - does that tell you something?
