Best thing to do is ring round all the competition (anonymously) and ask them what their rates are, then very slightly undercut them. £12 hour seems reasonable to me.

FInd a unique selling point and if you could make yourself look like a big company. Always brand everything with your logo and rather then Laura the cleaner you should be Laura from Clean and Tidy Ltd. Mabe without the Ltd; most people like a professional looking business. I know a women who set up as a driving instructor and she branded everything. She gave out booklets, adverts, business cards and keykings with her brand on. She even had a uniform which was branded and someone asked her how big the company was, they were shocked to find that it was just her and a car. But liked the big brand she had created it also leaves the possibility to expand and get richer!!!

Remember to market and I think the price is fair!!
Consider three cleaning packages. The first with a low cost for basic cleaning and then a medium and finally a "top to bottom" package - everything cleaned.

P.S Make sure you explain what you will and won't be cleaning.

The important thing is to target the areas in England that seem to generate the most money, and then you don't have to lower the rates. Just remember...the proof is in the pudding, and people want quality work if they're paying more.

i think of it incredibly is only too lots - even though it relies upon the place you artwork. i'm in London - i might assume approximately £15-20 consistent with hour and for what you're doing i might have thought 2-3 hours became lots. of course i need to be underestimating the time taken for this.

Create a USP unique selling position....this means separate yourself from the pack....add something extra to your service that people are willing to pay for. You dont have to be the cheapest...be the best!
