I'm fighting for care and custody of my child now. My ex-husband has been causing much mental stress, sending text messages like "You can't cope with the child. Why bother fighting?" *incessantly*. How can I stop him from doing this? I'm located in Singapore.

It's not a criminal offence, I think.
He has access to the kid for certain hours and on certain days. BOTH our lawyers AND the judge know that since he's requesting for access, he should drop off the kid - but since this isn't spelled out in the Court Order, he's refusing to do that too - and not the cops/court can do a thing about that.
Also seems that such text messages (really mental harrassment..) can't be considered as a criminal offence too.
Is there no way out for me?

Do you know of a good hit-man? Ha. Just kidding. Don't read his text messages and if hes not in the same place you are, don't worry about it. Just ignore him or file Harrassment charges against him. That ought to stop him. Put a restraining order on him also.

Your lawyer should have this answer if you got one, get advise from the law library where your located do some research for yourself and then look up the laws where you want to live without that man bothering you. And why do you refer to your child as the kid?

Get a Mobile phone that has bluetooth function, print his sms out and act as a prove to courts that he has been harrass you mentally. why let him continue mess your life when you decide to leave him for good!

well you could go back to court and get shared custody, half and half all spelled out,or give him custody and you get visitation?or just go back to court and get everything spelled out, to where if he isn't doing right, the cops will help you?

Get a restraining order and keep the messages when he does it again go to the and they will arrest him

Dont know what state your from but there are laws against harrassing communications. Consult your attorney and or your local sherriffs office...

get copy of text messages and send to your attorney and get a restraining order against your ex

Get rid of your cell phone and get a new one with a different number. Don't give the number out.
