There are many nice & affordable beach resort in Bantayan especially at Sta. Fe.

I passed there last week, but didn't stay the night. There are a bunch of reasonable nice places on Malapascua which is not too far away. We stayed at Kuan Ba resort.

Try Kota beach resort.
Their deluxe casitas are basic, roomy & comfy.
When I went there crowds were hardly a problem.
