Could you guys give me reasons for maintaining the right for politicians to have political advertisements for the election? i badly need your answers tonight! we have a debate regarding this tomorrow! The proposition is, Be it resolved that: "TV Political Ads be banned" and i am on the NEGATIVE SIDE, which means that i do not agree to ban political adverstisements... please help me find answers 'coz i'm going to make my speech tonight! please guys...please!

geez.... because the general public watches television for their daily intake of world knowledge, as well as entertainment.
you could argue that voters will make uninformed decisions if they are not given proper notice of the candidates at-hand. And you should argue that TV ads are the most efficient methods of communicating to the public.
Not to mention the fact that if a candidate is willing to put all the money into a TV commercial, he/she is truly serious about undertaking the role of the Presidency.
