President George Bush has done a good thing by kicking the fanatics out from power in Afganistan and trying to save Afghanistan from babarism. He also has done a very good thing in regim change and eliminating Saddam, his sons and cronies. They were the real enemies of Iraq. Military planning in Iraq was not very good, the military action and handing over power to Iraq people should have been swift, prolonging the war given Saddam's supporters a chance to regroup. The prolonged Saddam trial also contributed to this.
Time will definitely evaluate Bush and would be given due credit to him.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt replaced into probable the final to boot because of the fact the final enjoyed. He replaced into definately a type act. do not comprehend of any scandals. My mom despised him because of the drastic steps that have been taken via the government for the duration of the large melancholy to develop nutrition expenditures. yet maximum those that I knew back then relatively enjoyed him. To have a frontrunner it fairly is definitely enjoyed and respected is, in itself, very useful to any u . s .. What we've had at the instant is the right opposite, regrettably.

I'm not a fan of almost any of George Bush's policies, but if he is such a fool then how did he manage to get elected twice?

We find it hard to understand why someone, with all the evidence, continues on in a state of denial.
But our President isn't the only one with this issue...look at all the people in abusive relationships...depite all the evidence to the contrary, women with stay with husbands and boyfriends who mistreat and even physically abuse them. We have children in abusive homes are fiercely defensive towards their parents, people smoke and drink themselves to death despite the evidence of the extremely harmful effects of these behaviors, people continue to walk down dark alleys, children still ride their bikes down country roads alone, etc., etc., etc....
I think the problem with Americans is that most don't understand strength of conviction. Most of us do not have the strength of conviction to stand up for what we believe.
How often have we seen bully's picking on people, and we don't say anything? How often have we seen children and pets being abused, and we don't say anything? How often do we see a woman being raped, beaten, or assaulted and we walk right by? How many women die every day from eating disorders because we are afraid to stand up to the fashion industry and refuse to buy into the "thin is in" idea? How often have we seen others laughing at other people and we don't say anything? Name calling and all the other little nasty things that human beings do to other human beings?
Our President saw a country where people were being killed on a daily basis...sometimes for political dissent, at other times for no reason at all. These people were systematically tortured, we have taped evidence of that...one piece of footage showed a man chained to a post and then beaten with chains. We know that hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's were killed by Saddam...each and every one of those individuals were a son or daughter, and had a mother and father that loved them and miss them. Many also had wives and children who still love them and miss them to this day.
To say that it was wrong to put an end to these killings is something that I will never understand. The only difference between Saddam and other serial killers is that Saddam had taken control of a country and could kill and orders killings at will. His son was a serial rapist who randomly chose his victims from the women he saw on a daily basis at the University. He would point out a woman and she would be taken to his quarters where they would be raped.
These women then had to deal with the consequenses of the rape...and these women were often the victims of "honor killings". These women could not reveal that they were raped, and if the got married, then of course they would be outed for not being a virgin, and would then again become a target of an "honor killing".
There were so many victims of Saddam and his sons...to say that the few thousand soldiers that we have lost equals the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi victims is insane.
Sure each servicemember is a son or daughter, father or mother...but so were all of Saddams victims.
