well u should know all ur customer tasks, its business related tasks, and as a consultant u should teach ur consultant how to compute his tasks into the online system

You could investigate som CMS Systems such as PostNuke, PHP-Nuke or DotNetNuke which have shopping cart modules incorporated or you could discuss building a WebSite from scratch using .net, JSP, Coldfusion, ASP or any other number of technologies.
