Are they still teaching that book? Crikey, I remember doing that 10 years ago!! What do you think the importance is? In the world of university English literature, you can make whatever claim you want as long as you can back it up with evidence from the book. Try and come up with something a bit different, quote bits from the book as evidence and see what happens. I hope your teachers are more open minded than mine. God I hated school. Funny I'm doing an MA in English literature now, it was rubbish at school
