What do you think of my idea. It could change this country.

I've been working inside the military (as a contractor) for many months. Most people I meet are good, well meaning people, but no one is incented to spend less money. In fact they are rewared for getting more money for their area.

I've seen great people doing great things for efficiency but it never goes back to the taxpayer. Why? No one is incented to do so. It is a culture of islands of power which protect their turf and build their budget. Dont get me wrong, they do a good job but no one worries about spending.

Why not pay some of these higher level people to benefit if the cut fat....and fat there is. You would not believe. Well meaning people need some reason to change. Lets pay the top civilian leaders (SES level) like CEOs. So what if they make $10M a year if they save us $10B.

Would you support paying cost cutting civil servants really big money if they deliver savings to us?

CEOs dont get high pay for doing a swell job. They get high pay because they can, whether the company benefits from their efforts or goes straight down the toilet.

AmerenUE executives for example just gave themselves a nice bonus, despite the fact that they missed the earnings target they were supposed to achieve to qualify for it. It was not deemed necessary to bend the same rule for the workers of course. This after a year in which we had two weeklong power outages affecting tens of thousands of people locally.

The best way to cut government spending at this point would be to end the war in Iraq.

there is no real distinction between the Repubs and the Dems; the two are run via the huge companies. The promptly-disappearing center type and the damaging continuously take the brunt of the cuts, on an identical time as people who could have sufficient funds to pay the main pay the least (or not something in any respect).

Sorry, you can't fire them. If you allowed stockholders, then there would be no bounds to other agencies such as the DEA. Patriotism and Capitalism are opposites. This sub-contracting of the military is the same page from history that England tried when they lost the Colonies to the United States of America.

You are right in many aspects. This is why we should do away with big government and I believe in, as you refer to; privitization.
Big companies can bid on these jobs and no tax payers are involved. This could also mean more jobs and less taxes.
