My daugher has a huge problem with dandriff and it is severe. She is also going through hormonial changes as she is a pre teen, so she has acne also. Should a dermitologist be able to cover both issues? Is this the type of doctor I should use for both? I have already spoken to 2 hairdressor's and have tried all they have suggested. I have not seen any beneficial changes at all.

Thank you

Definitely the dermatologist. Both of her problems are skin issues.

A dermatologist treats problems related not only to skin but also hair, nail and venereal diseases. So, he is the right person to help you out!

try Nizral 2%, i GAURANTEE you that her dandruff problem will completely disaappear. but one needs to be persistent when using that Shampoo.

as far as acne is concerned, try avoiding foods like lot of chicken, papaya, pineapple and chocolate for example. and also check up with a gynae and dermatologist if you have to.

Yes, a dermatologist. Start with her pediatrician first though if you have an insurance plan that requires this.
