I mean we go out of the way to hire blacks to have a more diverse work environment, shouldn't the NBA do the same...it's not diverse at all...the NFL is nearly as bad.

I understand your point!

The most recent affirmative action programs aren't even justified by allegations of past discrimination, but by "diversity" as you noted.

I don't see "diversity" in the Constitution, anywhere.

Well, if they don't recruit all the BEST players the games wouldn't be as exciting...........Hey! Maybe if employers were allowed to hire the BEST applicants their companies would be better and produce the BEST products...........what a concept!!! And yes, by BEST I mean any race, gender etc. If the employer is too stupid to hire less qualified people because of race, gender etc-- then they do so at their own demise!

great question. Afirmative acion is just legal discrimination. I'm suprised it's still in effect. That sucks to be white!
