If the faults were small, or insignificant, I would call them 'a nit-picker'.

if the faults are significant, they could be called 'Judgemental'

If they have the same faults, themselves, they would be 'a hypocrite'

Maybe they are highly intelligent and don't understand others.. or they have social problems. It depends on the person. I guess you need to consider the source of the person
