It depends on your contract. Mine states that I have 12 general leave days a year. I appreciate the fact that they are all "general leave" wih no sick days because if I have to stay home with my son when he is sick I can be honest about that and not say I am the one who is sick.

Well,its kind of a trick question. If you take a day off, it takes one day to prepare the school day for the sub, and then it takes another day to recover the class from the sub after you get back. So really, for every day you take off, you really add two days work, which equals out to -1 days.

LIKE only three or on average in your back pocket. after that they accumulate year after year. sometimes we Have to take day off for conferences then there are sick days easily one a month,
you had one sick day per month you taught in your contract is my guess. you might not have anymore unless you take the day without pay until next month

I have four personal days. 11 sick days. Jury duty and bearavment days are given on a needed basis without loss of pay.

We get 10 days off for any reason. They don't seperate sick days and personal days.
