She is 2 and a half months old. She might doze for 5 minutres but then shes wide awake again. A ride in the pushchair or car don't help either! Does anyone share similar experiences? I'd feel much better knowing I wasn't the only one lol

my youngest DD does NOT do naps. She wil cat nap and doze for 20 minutes tops during the day and be up like nothing happened for the rest. Works great for us because she sleeps all night long!!! (i hated night feedings!). so from 8 to 7 i hear not a peep from her! (god i love it)

As long as she is eating, active, pooping, and gaining weight normally... she should be fine! We all change sleep cycles many times in our lives. she is just starting early on ;)

Congrats on your baby

As long as she's getting plenty of sleep between 8:00pm and 6:00 am - that's fine. A cat nap here and there is okay. Some babies nap several times during the day but are not really "down for the night" till 11:00pm. I'd rather have it the way your daughter is!
At least you get some quality time with your Hubby and time to do some housework.

Wow, I thought my daughter was awake a long time at that age. She would be awake for about 5 to 6 hr stretches during the day then she would nap for a bit, sadly the longest she slept at night would be 4 hrs till feeding time. Felt like she was awake all the time. But 14 hrs? Do you get anything done?

It depends on whether she's crying, or just awake. My bub's now 6 months old but when she was really little she never slept more than an hour (maybe 2) in a day and it was always little cat-naps. The Dr. said that was fine, as long as she was developing properly and making up for the sleep of a night-time. (she'd sleep for approx 10 hours at night, with a break at 2am for a feed). He also told me to thank my lucky stars... so many mums go through hell to get bub in to a normal sleep routine - but ours came already organised :-)

As long as your baby seems healthy, its OK, Mine NEVER slept in the day time. Hopefully she sleeps at night. Enjoy them when they are young. They grow fast.
