what do women look for in a handbag?

when a women buys a bag what does she look for

when I buy a handbag its usually to match an outfit or pair of shoes that I would be wearing. I like it to have a few pockets inside and it would be just big enough to carry what i need

Depending on what type of bag you want.

Mainly i look for bag that fits under my arms comfortably, and that i could hold onto it while i walk (so i dont get mugged)

Ilike a bit girly bag, so it must have some sort of embroidery on it or floral designs.

If your looking for a bag to put plenty things inside, then you want quite a bigger bag

its also about the colour.
if you want a bag that you want to use it pretty much everyday then i would go for black or cream.

If its special, i would have small bag as its chic and clour matching to my clothes.
Buget is under £30.

Personally, I'd go for something that could go with a number of outfits, just the right size and colour. Price is important too, but bags can be quite cheap nowadays.

Space. Whether it be one of those really small purses, or a big almost suitcase, each woman has her "needs" put in them. ID, makeup, comb, other personal stuff, like perfume, etc. Plus, if she is a mom of especially small children, room to put everything possible in there! And then some. Some women like to have everything in one big compartment, others like different compartments for different items. A place for her wallet, keys, important papers, tissue, etc. Other spot for makeup, and such. Hope this helps answer your question. Take care.

Quality in work men ship Security.. like zippers and pockets snaps..price, Comfort with a sh older bag . Sometimes carrying a heavy bag can hurt your sholder too. Last colors.

As a woman I look for style, durability, size, whether the handle is long enough and whether I can fit everything I need inside.
it's also handy if it has internal pockets and a special internal pouch for the good old mobile.

It depends on what kind of bag you're after - day or evening. I do think in general it's: Style, size, colour, convenience (pockets, zip or buttons etc) what will it go with, and price.

I need something smart thats not too big but big enough to hold all my necessities, practical that I can wear with casual clothes and that I can also take with me on a night out. I have great trouble finding the right one.

I hate carrying a bag. I tend to make sure I have as many pockets as possible in my clothes instead.

i am a woman... but not those ladylike women... OOPS...
personally i'll look for durability, storing space (i'll bring a hell lot of stuff out with me) and novelty of the design. i surely wont wanna be seen carrying the same bag with 100 other women out their in just one shopping trip.
