The problem is : I have no friends in my class at all but i do have my friends in other classes. Whenever during pairwork or group work,I'm always the odd one out and others already have their cliques yet I'm the only one on my own and i can feel that they're quite hostile to me and often throw things at me behind my back. Given this situation last time,I would have just cried but somehow i didnt feel an ounce of sadness at all for them ostracizing me,is it correct for me to be oblivious to them? becaue i have tried to be friends with them but they just rejected me,so now i try to excel in my studies and repick myself up and meet up with my good friends in other classes during other times - am i doing the right thing?

You are a smart girl. Keep going in the new direction you are pursuing. Those cliquey girls, are not who you are. Stay with it. You want real friends, not superficial ones.

The path you are taking will bring you true, and good friends. Stay strong, doesn't seem to me like you have a personal self esteem problem. It took allot of self-esteem to do what you are dong. More credit to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I think you have come to the perfect solution. Next year try to make friends from the very start. But its hard to get into clinques and since it doesn't bother you I'd just let it go for now. You can't go wrong with putting all that time in own your classwork. Thank goodness for those good friends you have in your other classes!

Don't let those foolish people bother you/You are stronger than them by holding up your head and not responding in any way that might show them otherwise.Don't stoop to their childish ways.
Progress with your studies and excell as much as you can.your education is more important than those that choose to pick their clique's rather than their school work.
I admire you for knowing and picking the better of choices.
P.S.There is nothing wrong with your self esteem.
Good Luck.

yes u are doing the right thing....find solace in those who make u happy...dont worry abt frnds right now and concentrate in our studies and make your parents as your frnds..share everything with them..once u pick up in your studies all those who rejected u will come back to u for ur friendship...it is for you to reject them when they come to u..good luck, stay happy
