http://maps.google.co.uk/ - just enter the post code in the search box near the top. You can then zoom in and out and resize your browser window until you get the radius you want.

Try magic.gov.uk.
Its absolutely amazing, I use it at work.
You can choose what can be highlighted on your map, for instance, conservation areas, roadlinks, archaeoligical sites and monuments.
You can choose your scale, and print it if you need.
Honestly, at the risk of sounding very strange indeed, i could not live without this website.

Multimap and Streetmap are two services I use for UK maps.
Had not seen mention of magic.gov.uk before (thanks to that contributor), but that looks to be very good, too.
Google maps is clever because you can have both town names (and road names/numbers) OVERLAID on aerial photos (in 'Hybrid' view), so long as you don't zoom in too far.
Don't forget that most map services have copyright restrictions (so be careful if you plan to display them).

is the one I always use for UK postcodes. It will zoom in on that location, but you can use the 'expand' option to zoom out and keep the postcode at the centre of the screen
