I am going to Montreal with my family (wife,2sons,2 daughters) under immigration.
I have been to Montreal for a week and in Toronto for 8 months last year. I like Montreal very-very much and wanted to be settle in Montreal. I am from business background and wanted to start any business like "Gas station" "Conv.store" etc.
The only benefit in Toronto is that I have some relative there, but I don't know any one in Montreal. No french background of mine, but keen to learn it.
So can any one suggest me is the Montreal fine for me, or I have to think abt Toronto.
Also guide me where most of the Indians are setteled in Montreal

If you are going to look to buy a convenience store (called a "dépanneur," even in English, in Québec) or another business, you definitely will have to learn Québecoise French. (Among other things the law requires that customers be first spoken to in French).

The province and many local school districts offer immigrants French immersion programs.

In addition to Park Extention, many Indians live in the LaSalle area - the Sikh temple is located there. I think Laval also has a notable Indian-heritaged population. Also, many of the Trinidadians in metro-Montréal are of Indian heritage.

Lots of people in Montreal don't speak french and are fine

The main advantage of Montreal is the cost of living, is extremely affordable, compared to Toronto is great, however income tax is higher, but the cost of living is much cheaper than in Toronto so the quality of life is similar

Indians? not sure about that, try cote des neiges!

There are sooo many people living in Montreal who don't speak a word of French and they get by just fine. I think you would do fine here. There are many Indians settled in the "Parc Extension" area (which is near Highway 40 & L'Acadie blvd.). You would be very confortable there.
