No, but with most books I have read in recent years there have been very few words I didn't know the meaning of. I gave up on one of Dickens great works a few years ago, though, because there were too many difficult words. I was spending too much time looking up words in the dictionary! Sadly, I haven't attempted another Dickens since. Maybe one day I shall try to read one again.

No not usually. I like to think that I am fairly literate with a good vocabulary and can understand the meaning of pretty well all the writer has written and the context in which various words an phrases are used.It is only when unusual words, often with a scientific relation, are used that I might need to investigate the meaning.

Always. How are you going to get the full meaning of the poor author if you don't understand the words he is using. Show some respect you ignoramuses.

No, if I ever come across a word that I don't know, I usually look it up online.

No - it's quite easy to get the general meaning of a word by the context in which it is used.

No I don't. There's few words that I don't 'get' and that's when I look it up, if I can't figure it out on my own.

It depends on what kind of book it is. If it's for school, yes. If it's pleasure reading, it depends on how many words I don't know after the first few pages.
