Anyone who watched Tuesday's Idol had to have noticed that little girl crying through the entire show! What was the deal with her? Constantine and Sarah speculated that she may have been planted.

That little girl had a prime seat on the aisle at the show - easily accessible and easily videotaped - she was totally planted.
I have to admit that Sanjaya's singing makes me cry, too. Because it's AWFUL! I hope the 13 year old girls stop voting, because that's the only demographic he's winning. His version of The Kinks' "You Really Got Me" was sugary, off-key, and just plain wrong, wrong, WRONG! His singing is horrid and it cheapens the entire show to have him on it, acting as if he's a serious competitor for the Idol title. Any album this guy ever releases will sell only 400 copies - to the 400 13-year old girls who phone 10,000 times in the hours after the show to prolong this loser's stay. Which makes it even more ironic... "GIRL, you really got me...?" Sanjaya, who are you kidding?!

I don't know if she was planted, but the camera seemed to find her way too much. When a contestant sang, the camera would show the family briefly and then come back to weeping Ashley. We were wondering if perhaps she was the winner of some contest to attend a taping of American Idol.

Nah. American Idol made her cry. She was doing that pre-teen, hysterical/hormonal crying thing that little girls do sometimes. I think she cried through the whole show, didn't she?
I, on the other hand, bled from the ears, and I do blame that on Sanjaya. For the love of Simon Cowell, please get that kid off the show!

The deal with her was that she was plainly overwhelmed by Sanjaya's performance, I mean, come on!!! It was great alright, I'm not going to lie I voted for Sanjaya 101 times! Not even kidding! Oh yea & umm I was so jealous of thatgirl Ashley, she got to hug my man![SANJAYA] & go on stage with the idols
I agree with constantine i think it might have been staged....
Alrighty then, Sanjaya will be SAFE! Lets go TOP 10!! oh yea--- Phil Stacey is going home, I think!!!

It's my opinion she was drowning in endorphins due to her development, and a serious crush on Sanjaya. She simply became overwhelmed.
It reminded me of the Beatles phenomenon when girls especially, would become fairly hysterical and even faint. The fans were so loud during the Beatles' 1st live US appearance on Ed Sullivan, it's hard to hear the performance. It was mass-hysteria that spread across Europe and finally to the US.
I doubt she was a plant, but the producers sure took advantage of her state of mind.

I think that she was just caught up in the moment of seeing that cute guy it is an age thing. I serious dont understand why this kid is still on the show. they have gotten rid of people that smoke him all the way and I really dont think it is fair to them. He cant sing period. These are good judges we got here. and they call it the way that they see it and Simon well he may be harsh but he is on the money.

I'm going with...she is Simon Fuller's granddaughter....duh, she was RIGHT in front of the old coot...
he was like "Ok, Brattina, we're losing money on the summer Idol tours, so we need Gayjaya on there...go cry for the camera and I'll buy you a pony. CRY *****, CRY!!!"

It is possible that she was planted there. But i know there is alot of teens that think he is soo cute,, yuck..
Maybe she has never been to a concert either and this was her first time to something like this and she just freaked out cause he was like right there...
It really could go either way.

Funny, she seemed to be mentally challenged to me. A slight touch of Down Syndrome perhaps. Not dealing with a full deck, if you get my drift. It wasn't just Sanjaya who made her cry, it was all of them. It was being there, getting to meet them and going on stage with them. I think it was overwhelming for a young girl and, like I said, she was a tad 'touched' if you know what I mean....
I was reading these comments and people seem very confused. Check out: votefortheworst.com. No one is voting for Sanjaya because they like him - he is a JOKE!!! They are voting for him because they do this every year - pick one who is terrible and keep voting for him. Even Howard Stern is in on it.
As far as that girl being planted?? Why would they do that? She made a fool of herself and looked retarded. I don't think they would plant that....

no i think that it probably her first time at idols and she was overwhelmed. teens look up to the idols.
