I felt a bit suspicious from the start.
Re Iain C's answer - he may have been poisoned, which could produce the symptoms you mention, but could still be murder.
Re Crickee's answer - BBC Radio Five Live had an interview with him on Sunday morning, only 8 hours or so before his death, where he talked about his future plans. He was going to retire as a coach and do consultancy work. He seemed fit and healthy then, I can't understand why he would die of natural causes only a few hours later. I really have felt all along that someone had a grudge against him following Pakistan's shock World Cup exit. I hadn't thought of the betting aspect though.
RIP Bob.

it must be somebody linked to the pakistan team (It is not necessarily a player) with a betting link. The loss to ireland looks like it is a case of behind the scenes games. it can be someone who leaked out the strategy of the team to betting syndicates, which unfortunately still exist.
Remember Woolmer is used to ups and downs iof the game. Also Woolmer had plenty of jobs in waiting in better places with better offers.
Suicide does not look like a reason when you read his comments after the match.

The police have said that there are suspicious circumstances. I don't think that suicide would be so described (and anyway Bob was not the suicidal type). That leaves an accident (something that he ate that was bad or perhaps for which he had an allergy) OR that he died at someone else's hand. Latter seems too improbable to me to be true - so I would guess that it may have been accidental poisoning.

The evidence doesn't stack up to murder or suicide - blood, diarrhoea and vomit. I know it sounds ghastly but accidental death often has a violent end. I know it's still under investigation but if you add the facts together it looks like a picture of a depressed man hitting the bottle heavily that night and suffering the consequences. Either direct alcohol poisoning (perhaps in combination with other medication) or inhalation of vomit. All very sad.....

Ok, nothing is sure, it is weird people are talking too much about it. You cant rule out murder, just because it is absurd to think about it, and you feel sympathetic. BUT you can't simply claim he was murdered
Fans can be fanatic, we have witnessed Monica Seles, which was attempted for a much smaller cause. Here is a team, who is out of the world cup, representing a country that worships cricket. It is possible. And it is suspicious. Let us wait and see.

He may not have been killed. The death is probably being treated as suspicious because the authorities haven't completed their investigation yet. It might just have been a heart attack from the stress of the cricket!

Police is investigating in the matter and a clear picture will emerge only after the investigation is completed.

They have a huge gambling problem in Pakistan and a lot of people would have lost a lot of money on that match.
