Oh i'm sorry they do act,... half act like they can wrestle, when its all fake.
and the other half act like they can sing when there's no music.
guess practice makes perfect... still never seen but two wrestlers who could act worth a hoot, (rock and hogan)
and on the rapers, gee let me get back to ya.. none have ever played a trully major role... maybe thats because THEY CANT ACT any better then they can sing.

i take that back (well one case)
Ice Cube has played some good roles, and Ice-t played his best in the 80's]
but there has never been anyone who could stand up to the roles they did since.

It's a money thing. Producers think by putting a name on the screen that the money will come rolling in (it usually does) and that the script and acting abililty are minor annoyances.
Like Krusty the Clown said, "They came at me with a wheelbarrow full of money. I'm not made of stone!"

Well let's see. Kevin Federline is a wanna be rapper, and then got his a$$ kicked in the wrestling ring. And I agree with you on Ice-T, he makes a good villian. The Rock isn't very good. And if you have watched the MTV show "Hogan Knows Best", do you think he is acting, or actually being himself?? I think he is being himself. Wrestlers and Rappers think they can act, and then there are some singers who think they can act, (case in point, Madonna and Jennifer Lopez). Now we have Justin Timberlake trying his hand at acting. It never ends.

Because some damned fool person with money told them they could. Majority can't but there are some serious exceptions. Will Smith is the first and foremost that comes to mind. Good question!!

Well I guess it's the same thing with models, singers, actresses/actors, who think that they can switch between "talents" because they call themselves "entertainers", so as not to define what it is that they actually do.
Most famous people can't do anything with any amount of unique talent. They are just famous for being famous, so I guess if you suck in one area, and are making money at it, you might as well suck in another area and make even more money at it.

maybe wrestlers think that they CAN act because people pay to see them strut their stuff inside the ring and show their exagerrated machismo which led them to think "hey! if people pay just to see me do these exagerrated machismo acts with a bottle of oil poured all over my body,hmm.. maybe i should be in the league of the likes of al pacino, jack nicholson and charlie chaplin"... rappers think they can act? geez, it doesn't mean that since they can talk a mouthful at the speed of light while doing their video they can get away with acting...
