Exgratia (as in)
The Andhra Pradesh Government today announced an exgratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next kin of the family member of Bollapally Mandal Parishad President and Congress leader T Ramireddy, who was gunned down by the naxals in Guntur district this morning.
This is where the word gratuity (or tip) comes from.

Forgive me, if I am WRONG, - but, - from the way, in which you seem to be STRUGGLING, to get the words OUT, - I wonder, if you might be thinking of an "EX GRATIA" payment?
I hope that I have HELPED you, in some small way! Good day, to you!

It is spelled "ex gratia", definitely not "exgratia" or "ex-gratia".
It is correctly pronounced "ecks gra-tee-a", and often incorrectly pronounced "ecks gray-shee-a".
