do the following
set the primary and secondary DNS to match what the other computers have .
verify if the default access point is well set
then on the browser go to tools then >internet options > then click on the connection tab then click on the command button (lan settings )
the choose -automatically detect settings
if this does not work hen you will have to consult your systems Admin to supply you with the config setting
i.e if you are using a proxy server
also there is a way that they can only assing connection to certain IP addresses Only so try this ..because you are using you laptop this wont be a problem

set you laptop IP address to match the address of a pc connected to the LAN (this will work only if that pc is off or else it will return (ip conflict) when that pc is off you will enjoy the service (for this there is no quarantee ...just a theory never tried it )
if you make it please let me know ..

you could contact your network administrator for help.

just for your information, that in some country who has limited access to the internet, not all computers are allowed to access the internet by the managment policy.

the close by section potential that u can talk with ur internet provider, however the project right that's that u're not waiting to flow into ur internet account, so I propose that u call ur internet provider so as that he can come and fasten issues up, as he's conscious ur IP adress and u'll be waiting to be related back 2 ur unternet account. till now attempt to work out if u're already related 2 ur broadband or dial-up connection, as that's the way u're related 2 ur account

I would go to Start > Run > type "cmd" > in the command box type "ipconfig /release" > then type "ipconfig /renew" to obtain a new DHCP IP address.
