At (roughly) what age do we learn to operate doors?

Room doors, outside doors, toilet doors, car doors, electrically operated doors, lift doors, the list is endless and so is time........in fact most doors are opened or closed not operated!!

My little girl could open the doors from about 14 months. She watched the cat jump up and hang from the handle so she started to pull the handle down. (this is not a joke). I put door knob type handles (the one's you turn) on the rooms i didn't want her to go in as they cant open these till they are much older!

well, my little boy learnt how to open doors just before he was 3. he still doesn't remember why way they open though, so sometimes he'll pull instead of push, and vice versa, but he gets there in the end ! some people still struggle to open door when they reach adulthood though - i have a friend who visits me every friday, and i have to work my front door for him coz he can never manage to get it to open ! (i think he needs some lessons from my 4 year old son !!!)

Never, I see people and do myself sometimes, get it wrong and push a pull door, or pull a push door!

The best of course is seeing people waiting at a normal door thinking it's an automatic one that wont open!
