First of all you should be clear in asking your question.... i am sure you must be asking why do male attacts towards female rather than people..am i right....so....my answer is:
the difference between "Male and Female" is Fe....which is the symbol of Iron.....it means female has iron...not magnet..
now from the above theory it can be assumed that the male has Magnet....and as you know the propety of the magnet is that it always attract iron....so conclusin is that Female does not have magnet......

Hmm... females have magnets if men act like empty iron cans!
On a serious note, its the law of the nature that men get attracted to females and vice-versa; but people do get attracted to people of the same gender these days.

Well men are naturally attracted to athletic women because nature tells them they are the health-yest (looking anyway) to bare his offspring. Tan skin is supposed to be a sign of good health also. It works the same way with females and athletic men. Also one reason scientists believe men like big breasts is because when we were apes males would mount the female from behind. So of course the bigger the buttocks was the more in heat she was. Breasts sorta resemble the buttocks.
