I totally understand. It's 9:20am in London right now, but on the other side of the world, there are people getting ready for bed. It's a cool thing, but it could possibly a bit too huge a concept for some to grasp.

Well what I find strange is that with all the different time zones and also the different Yahoo forums in different countries, why would everyone answer on the USA one???

I mean why aren't there people answering and asking on the different countries Yahoo sites???

I thought that was what that was for so you could answer question on your countries site...

If that were the case, then the questions might make sense with time zones...

I mean if I were asking a USA time question then people in Australia or Japan would not be offended with those questions cause they are awake when USA is asleep...

We all know there are night time jobs and 24 hour stores and businesses, but I always wondered why people from other sites would ask and answer here in the USA site...

I understand that there are different time zones. I just don't see why they have to be in such odd places. Some are spread apart, some are right next to each other. For example, I live on the border of Indiana and Illinois. If I walk across the street, it's an hour behind. I just don't understand the point of that.

I know! I live over in Okinawa, Japan and I have to explain the time zone thing more than I should... a lot of times I have to explain it in my answers when I'm asking a night-life question when it's like 8am where most people are answering but that's just so I don't look like a lush.

People seem to think that the whole world revolves around them. I admit, sometimes it's hard for me to remember who is in what time zone, but I've been trying to memorize the zones for that very reason so that I can better communicate with people. Drives me batty not knowing what time it is somewhere because I don't want to bother anyone who may be asleep, etc.
