Business Proposition

It's when you have an idea for a business and you are putting that idea forward to someone, maybe a potential investor.

Although it's not necessarily a 'literal' business. You could for instance offer someone something in return for something else .... i.e. I'll babysit for you after school if you take my kids to school in the morning. It covers a vast array of situations

It is spelled "Proposition" and if I remember WAYYYYYY back to high school business class it means something like: The factor or consideration presented by a seller as the reason that one product or service is different from and better than that of the competition. But I am not sure if that is 100% correct.......looks good in writing, though!!!! Hee hee.

Business proposition.

It's variable, depending on the context, but it might be a suggestion or proposal. Like, simplistically, "I propose that I take over the marketing of your product in return for 10% of the sales; this will free your staff to concentrating on production."
