I don't think it is strange. You are not trying to replace your son, nobody can do that. Maybe you long for the times you were a father to your son and you miss that kind of relationship. Focus on the woman though, and just start out slow building a relationship with the kids, if that is what the both of you want. I am sorry for your loss.

I would watch more old TV. All new TV is going
to do is shock your or challenge you or belittle
you every 5 minutes. Old TV is escape TV.
I know it's hard to understand this as an answer
but if you watch those shows back in the 60's
you can relax and feel like you want to feel
instead of .... reactionary vs. reactionary. Hope
one of those ladies are right for you.
If this anwer is chosen as best, I will pay $1 to anyone who answers this question directly, supports their answer, is not rude or ARMING............... my logic
can't explain right now goodnight America
damn its 9:45 a.m. ...!

your not trying to replace him you just love him very much and so you feel a bond with other little children-boys in particular. I am very sorry fro teh loss of your son, I wouldn't worry about this as it is probobly completely normal in your situation.
I hope this helps!

Life is not fair.. I understand how you feel.. However, life goes on and you have to move on too.. Do things that will remind less of your past.. No advise is worth it.. Only you can make the difference in yourself.

it seems you are trying to replace your lost son. i am sorry for your loss. but you have to accept it in order for you to move on. moving on doesn't mean you're gonna forget him. no. no one can forget a son or a daughter. your son will always be with you, in your heart, in your mind, in your memories. but life for you will have to go on. if ever you will love someone again, love him for what he is. good luck.

Sound like you miss your boy...naturally. But hey...if you meet a great woman with a little boy to match...then maybe you were meant to be. Just make sure you are with her really for your feelings towards her. You do not want to date someone just to hang with their kid. Good luck man...my best wishes are with you.
