Before approaching such large multinationals you wil need to be totally on the ball with an excellent sales pitch and product presentation... that is a must it is not an option. If you are asking yahoo who to approach then it gives me the impression that you are totally underprepared as before developing your sales pitch you woud have researched your target market, potential clients... and the people/dept that you would be presenting to.
I would suggest that you do some genuine research into the products appeal to the end user and their perception of the benefts/vices- Its fine for you to beleive that it would be useful but does the majority of the business world agree with you?
You should only ever approach a distributor/partner with a product or an idea that has some obvious benefits they dont want to just hear what you think.

Having sorted out all of the research and having already developed a bit of a "spiel" about the need for the products and the benefits yo would then need to contact your intended clients/targets through appropriate channels. You may wish to to look them up on the internet to see of they have a product development area which you could contact (if its something that they aquire to incorporate into their products) or otherwise contact the general enquiries and ask to be directed to the appropriate person. In the latter case keep it short and sweet. You have an innovative new product that they would be very interested in- who is the appropriate person to discuss it with.

Purchasing? but I have to say this doesn't sound like it's going to work...any company tends to screen out people trying to sell them stuff. At my job we get phone calls, faxes etc. everyday from people who want to sell us insurance, consulting services, everything, but we are too busy to speak to them.
