I've had pain on the sides of my waist since ovulation, which was about 2 weeks ago. Sometimes more on the right and sometimes on the left. I've started spotting on Monday. Still have that ache. It isn't very painful but it's definitely achy. I just want to ask if anyone has this kind of pms? I'm wondering if I should go to the doctor because this might just be pms...

You are suffering cyst on the ovaries or quite possibly endometriotis. Get to a doctor and ask for a referral to a specialist to make sure.

Could possibly be caused by fibroids or endometriosis. You should see a doctor. Despite popular opinion it is NOT normal to have pain during periods or when ovulating so don't let any doctor tell you it is just part of being a women. This happened to me & the doctor told me to take just take naprogesic. A few months later I was blacking out due to the pain and bleeding from my bowels. I saw a gynocologist and had a laporoscopy. It turned out I had so many entometrial lesions that my bowel was fused to my uterus. I had to have a total hysterectomy at 30 and had both ovaries removed, which sent my body into menopause.
Endometriosis is when endometrial tissue which normally only grows in the uterus starts to grow in other places.(bowels, bladder, ovaries, abdomin). Each time you have a period the tissue bleeds and causes lesions. Endometriosis affects the immune system, makes you exhausted, prone to infections & impares fertility. So DON'T WAIT TO SEE A DOCTOR please.

Yes, you should see your dr to find out if something more such as endometriosis (one of the possibilities mentioned by the other poster) could be a possibility.
