let me remind a few uneducated people that while europe and america were never in power there were no world wars sure they put the whole world into industrialization but at the expense at the blood and wealth of asian economies that dominated 75% of the world economies for thousand year
as long as europe and NATO dont have the influence today we will be alright
india and china dominated the world economy until the europeans came in looted the economy and massacred the population and left both countries economies stagnant now when both countries are on the rise europeans and north american alike are astounded and resent the growing influence of these countries and the diminishing influence of theirs america no more holds the grand position on the world stage
china and india will of course for the benefit of their economies not poke their noses in other business unless asked for help
there wont be a world war unless NATO is agitated by chinese dominance and indian choice (ally with china or america)

China and India will serve as better stewards of global political corrections than America has been - that is the funniest thing I have read this evening, this should be in jokes, have you ever been to China or India, I have lived in china for almost 10 years now and even my Chinese friends say the exact opposite you are, China and India have so many internal problems they would never in a 100 years be ready to go international, quoted from my Chinese friend who says you don't know what you are talking about

No.
No way.
The reason America became a superpower is because we had the biggest unguarded border in world history---with Canada---and no rivals to the south. and we had NATO united against a very real threat.

We are not warmongers, or expansionist, but we have been and still are, in reality and more importantly in the eyes of the world, imperialists, and arrogant. Also generous and peace-loving and well-intentioned.

Russia is still a major power to be reckoned with. India has neighbor problems, as does China. Iran is scary---a leader who wants to hasten the end of the world and has said so publically. Know this---Iran is run by a man who wants to start world war three and the glorious end of the world, and has said this many times publically.

All of these countries will be very powerful, but they must get along with their neighbors, and they have no history of doing so. In the next 20-30 years America will be a less-dominant superpower, but Russia, China, India and Iran will become more powerful individually, and some scary things could happen. America needs to pull back a bit, keep peace in our hemisphere, and make NATO take a greater burden for its own security, while trying to keep strong economic ties to Russia, India and China, and keep a very, very close eye on Iran. Iran is scary, very very scary, and will probably use nuclear weapons if they can develop them.

It came out recently that Saddam was actively trying to make the world believe that he had WMD's---biological and chemical and maybe nuclear weapons. This backfired on him, and on us. Mistakes have been made---tragic, terrible mistakes. But to think that China and India and others would be safer superpowers than America is to ignore history.

we're not so bad, really...all the best, Brian

If America loses it's place as a superpower, I believe Britain and Japan will step up. Because although they are developing countries, China and India still have way too many problems within to be up to the task. And, alot of the other countries that are aligned with the United States have different views than India and China. It would be hard for thses 2 countries to defeat the other competing countries to become a world superpower.

Even at its worst, The US is better than China or India.
Racist Warmongering? That doesnt make a bit of sense.
What is racist about freeing 25 million muslim, especially when the US forces are mostly christian or aethiest.
And this isnt a war. Tell me who they are fighting? Nobody. They are trying to contain sectarian violence.
China and India have official policy against certain religious groups, and have both used troops to massacre innocent muslims in our lifetime. Abu Grab happens every day in those countries for muslims.
The US openly welcomes anybody, from any culture. And tries to honestly give them a chance.

China is horrific when it comes to human rights. They are still controlled by a ruling party comparable to a ruthless dictatorship with no regard to it's own citizens. No country could ever be great with that makeup. And India has a spaghetti culture. They probably have the most languages spoken of any country in the world. They are a mess. Superpower? I think not.....

As long as the American people are adhering to their constitution, they will be a power in the world for generations to come. Their quality of life far exceeds that of any other country.

I doubt US will lose their position anytime soon. WE dominate in food production and that goes a long way. We dominate in TEchnology and is is atleast 30 years for China to catch up and far more for India. As stewards, I doubt India would make a good one. If you are here long enough, you would see how militant some are. Old English propaganda machines are still inplace and has affected Indian mind. I have talked to Indians who claim that Sri Lanka is part of India as well as Tibet. I'm not saying tehy want to free Tibet, but to take it over. As for China, they are willing to sacrifice claims to ensure peace and prosperity. They gave up all claims in Russia last year. The thing is the people are a bit mad at that, though. China seem to no longer wish military conflict directly, but they are discovering how to manipulate governments through rebellions. China is far more respectful of foreign culture than AMerica, so they are far more respected. THe good and bad of CHina is that they will stay out of foreign countries business. The problem is that they will let countries to have Nuke long before they are ready. (that is if any country is responsible enough for them)

I sure hope so. I do think you are correct about our demise as well. I hope I am wrong but I feel like much more of a realist than my fellow zambian that thinks we are in Iraq to free the people. What a joke. If a train called truth hit these people in the face they would still say lee Harvey Oswald was the loan gunman.

neither country has an equivalent of AMERICA'S Founding Father's document; nor the ability to implement the principles. So forget about any other superpower taking charge. We're stuck with America... with all its Bushes, Clintons and Gores!!![sigh]

Yet today we try to get China to stop burning coal with out cleaning the exhaust, and India we try to get them from internal fighting.
China will use force to threaten everyone with the bomb and India will try to under price every worker in the world.
Why would you think they will ever be good leaders?
