To start off, my periods arent regular and i didnt have one ever since october, but i finally got it 2 weeks ago.
it wasn't like the periods i had before.
the color was really dark and it didnt "flow" like it used to.
it also had little clots to it.
it finally tapered off about 5 days after it started.
then yesterday i started spotting again and now i seem to be having my period again.
or at least something is coming out of me.
it kind of looks like how it does when your pregnant and that "plug" thing comes out.
I had a pregnancy test in january and it was negative.
what do you think this could be?
im worried and my appointment for the ob/gyn is friday.
i am not on any birth control either.
plz help if you can

I would wait til you see the OB/GYN on Friday to see what they think could be causing this, they are in a better position to be able to tell you what could be the cause of this.

i hope you havent had this going on a regular basis, since your puberty started. i also hope that you are not overweight, considering which you can diagnose yourself for PCOS (which again is normal). you may also run a thyroid hormone tests, since hyper/hypo --Thyroidism also results in amenorrhoea. and it is also normal to have clots in your menstrual discharge, since the endometrium is one thick lining ready for nutrition supply for the baby.

please do not take any medications at this phase to get your period. i was aPCOS patient for 2 years now. i stopped my medications and i never had my periods for 2 months. then all of a sudden i found out that i am pregnant.

this is what we call, Late Impregnation. sometimes the ovary takes 28 days or more to release the egg, in which case, your egg will be fertilised way beyond even a month. i would recommend strongly to visit a gynae/obs.

It almost sounds like a miscarriage, but I think it would be more severe if were that far along pregnant. I don't know.
