no, i think humans have been a sleep for a long time, as well as lazy. we live life with habitual actions and expectations then when things don't go our way, we blame God. DUDE, just deal with the hand God has given you in this life, tolerate the torture and torment of living on earth because it is only a fraction of the time in eternity. Now that is where you should be storing your treasures. Don't worry about the crap that happens in your lifetime, just deal with it and be happy that it's only 80 years because that is just the incubation period of preparing you for heaven; at least, to see if you are worthy of inheriting it! think wisely, and trust in Jesus, even if you don't feel he is there. Pray to the Holy Spirit for understanding. I know as a human with the natural nature our minds are configured to have, life is tremendously difficult on so many neurotic levels. Thank God for grace. Why do I have to be born in such an ignorant age? Well, here goes . . .
Psa 2:1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
Psa 2:4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
Psa 2:5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
God is not interested in showing Himself to unbelievers with wicked hearts - they will self destruct (source? daily paper).
If you're referring to the world not being Rock Candy Mountain or Utopia or Shangri-la wake up and smell the coffee. You're dealing with people here and the corruption of people who want what they can't have when they can't have it. Those are the "heathen" referred to in the above Psalm. Man is trying to sell this idea that "we are the world" and "thanks to all of us it's working" (that's a laugh) so that they can . . .

Get more and more money from you for the "greater good" (another laugher). Money is power and power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Of course it helps if you're dealing with men who don't know how corrupt they are. That's why the Bible was taken out of the Public Schools.
Of course, not to be outdone by the secular leaders, the "Christian" leaders have now taken the Bible out of their schools as well by substituting it for phony, fake, adulterous Bibles that take the deity of Jesus Christ out. What you end up with is a bunch of people grabbing for something that they can "see" vs something that they can "believe". That's why you see these "healers" like Benny Hinn, Oral Roberts, Jimmy Baker, Jimmy Swaggert etc on the Christian TV stations selling their stuff - I saw some kind of "Holy Healing Water" (batman) sold on the TV the other day by some nice smelling smiling - salesman for God (oh brother - another one).
I call these worshippers - "The Christian Heathen". They fit the description in Psalm 2 nicely. The imagine vain things such as a perfect (or more than perfect world - just elect me and we'll straighten it all out - all the indifferences and injustices and all the crimes against humanity - you know the lines) world in which your children can grow. They mention Bible verses to their own presumption that they are the ones whom God has been waiting for all this time to come and fulfill these things - and people believe them!!!
Instead of going to the back of the stage Benny Hinn has people hand picked to come up and "get healed" in front of the crowd. Why is that do you suppose? When there's a whole line of people in wheelchairs right behind him! Why doesn't he heal them? Ever!!?? Why doesn't he go to the hospitals to the kids there in the heart wards and heal them?
Why!!!
Because he can't . . .
Any good con man doesn't want to expose himself so while he can't refuse them - he entertains the crowd so that they forget about those in the background. That's why he dresses that way! Don't forget the collection buckets Benny!

Like I said going into this. Why am I born in a time full of so ignorant a people?
God has given us His word and we want more. Like Eve in the garden.
It wasn't enough that she was living in Paradise, that there was no death, that they had perfect temperature and a perfect water supply - that their poop didn't stink. That wasn't enough for her - she wanted worship. And she still does.
This guy here thinks that God should take charge and straighten every little mess that man has gotten himself into up. He has given us 2 things.
1. Free will to do our will or His.
2. His word to guide us personally and as a society.
We, of course, naturally degrade to do neither.
The lessons of history will be repeated for those in Kindergarten.

He is not asleep and not lazy.
He is only watching his creations to see what we do with what he has given us and whether we can achieve glory or fall into the depths of evil.

alive in every living moment
the live /living god of all living /life
