Frequency Modulation is very Important in Nowadays
Because the signals carried through this frequency are encrypted in such a way that there maximum transmission for radio waves.
Regarding disturbances it also is known as stray capacitance
Youll get less disturbance in the night than during the day.
AM signals are however weak and will really blow up your eardrums.

The advantage is a clearer signal. The reason for this is when a signal is sent, it is at a certain volume and if there is interference such as lightening, it will add to the amplitude. When processing the FM signal, it is clipped or the amplitude is chopped off at a certain level. Since, we are worried only about the frequency of the signal and not the amplitude the signal stays clear.
