Or is their a law that disqualifys ex-offender even though has not been on parole over a decade and which is able to vote but not officially pardoned other than having discharged their term altogether?

having a criminal record does not keep you from inheriting
unless you murdered the person or people you want to inherit from. there are some very rich inmates who inherited from their parents.

the supreme court ruled long ago that a persons civil rights don't end at the prison gates, even tho some of our governmental agencies , guards wardens etc believe they do from the treatment those people are subjected to, and from the answers I have seen from some of our so called citizens on answers every one who is arrested is automatically guilty and should be executed , even if they are accused of having open beer in a gov park, I heard a judge once say there are only 2 kinds of people in this world. "the caught and the uncaught" after 20 years in defense I agree,the answer to your question is yes you are legally entitled to inherit property , own property, and be the executor of the will, the gov, overstepped its boundaries when they passed a law where a convicted felon can not own a gun as the gov, does not have the authority to pass this law but we have sat on our arses and allowed them to do many things unconstitutionally,
