i drive a 2002 volvo s40

this car has 2 cats, 2 mufflers, and one resonator i got the mid muffler cut and straight piped at a muffler shop. i plan to straight pipe one cat and the resonator

so my question is what tool do i use to cut the stock piping?

what type of weld and flux?

should the straight pipe be a little bigger or the same exact size...ie: my stock is 2.5 straight pipe would be....2.5?2.75? 3.0?

does anybody have any bad experiences with doing stuff like this

Do everyone else on Earth a favor and leave the Cat in.

You can't learn enough about welding from someone writing a paragraph or two to attempt this job.

A saws-all will make quick work of cutting it.

Cutting and welding isn't the hard part. Bending is. That takes a special machine.

cut with a iron cutter, bend with a mandrel bend machine. to weld depend on your material.. if just plain mild steel MIG is good enough. if stainless steel use TIG
