here is a short summary of what happens:
The odd neighbor who has a bad reputation, asks to spend the night at the main character's house (since the main character has a working fireplace and he does not). The main character agrees to let him sleep over, but around 3:00am concludes that she has made a horrible mistake.
So that's as far as I've gotten. I still need to figure out why she made a horrible mistake. Any ideas?

The odd neighbor is an axe murderer and she wakes up to light footsteps in the kitchen. When she goes downstairs to check it out, He's standing there grinning sinisterly, browsing through her kitchen knifes. He looks up to see her, she gasps and tries to run, he grabs a particularly large knife and walks towards her slowly. She can't get out as the doors are jambed. Chase ensues. Ending with her locking herself in a closet, he finds her. He raises his knife and is about to stab her when her husband, home early from a buisness trip, stabs the man and rescues her. The man falls over dead, the day is saved. Maybe elaborate a little,

that's a very cool thought! perhaps her buddy might have been paired with a very detrimental guy and she or he's jealous and starts resenting your substantial character, who then with the help from her companion a approach or the different finds out that her buddy's companion a approach or the different cheated his way into the college which he in no way might have legitimately made it into because of the fact he grow to be no longer eligible/a undesirable guy or woman. desire that kinda enables get your innovative juices flowing!
