Here's what you can do.

Drive down south past tagaytay to Calatagan in Batangas. That's past Lian and Matabungkay area. You can go to Punta Baluarte, an old-style (circa 70s to80's type) resort but well-kept by the Ayalas. They have clean and spacious surroundings with both fresh and sea water pools. The shorelines isn't really fantastic but in my opinion, there isn't much of decent beach shorelines in batangas. The views are great and food is decent as well.

The following morning you can drive further south until you see a lighthouse. Its an old spanish lighthouse at Cabo de Santiago. Interesting and photogenic as well. Then head on back to Tagayay to relax some more and cool down those sunburnt skin before you head on back to the bustle of Manila.

Alternatively why no travel down to Taal lake and explore the volcanoe island. there are water sports available there as well.

If you really want a decent beach experience for your toddler without the hassle of letting your baby ride a boat or plane, I recommend taking a 2.5 hr drive up to Subic Bay (inside the base). There are decent resorts and the shoreline is clean. The sand is safe enough to let your kid play around in.

Hope you guys have fun!

The beaches that are near Tagaytay are in Nasugbu, Batangas or Calatagan.. In Nasugbu, you will find Punta Fuego, (but i think it's exclusive for members only). There are a lot of beach resorts in Nasugbu, you just have to go there and discover for yourself.. enjoy!

Yes, a lot of them are near Manila. 1. SPLASH ISLAND is one man-made beach. It is about 1.5 hours from Manila in Binan, Laguna. To go there, drive through SLEx and take Southwoods Exit. It can get crowded here on weekends and on summer, and be prepared for huge volume of people from April to May. 2. FONTANA LEISURE PARKS boasts the Philippines' largest man-made beach. It is about 2.5 hours from Manila in the former US Base in Clark Field, Pampanga. To go there, drive through the NLEx and take Dau Exit. It also has giant waves and white sand, and caters to more affluent people.
