The first answer only saves addresses in your history, not in the address bar. Click Tools, Internet Options, Content tab, AutoComplete button. Make sure the box to save Web Addresses is checked.

If, for some reason, it IS checked, you might have picked up a bad cookie or temporary file that's keeping it from working. Uncheck the box, go back to the General tab and click Delete Cookies, Delete Files (including offline content), and Clear history, one at a time. Answer OK/yes when prompted, restart computer. Go back to the Content tab and re-check the box to save Web Addresses, click OK to back out.

Go to the Control Panel of your PC, then to Internet Options. In the General tab, look for Browsing History, then click Settings. A Temporary Internet Files and History Settings window will appear. Look at the bottom part of said window and there you will find History. Specify how many days you want Internet Explorer to save the list of websites that yiou have visited. There ya go.. I hope that helped you..=) Good luck!
