The vitamin C range is good for skin - especially the capsules which contain liquid you can apply to your face for extra moisture. They also smell very nice - if you like orange, that is.
They seem to have smartened up their range since Loreal bought them.

As a consultant who worked with a number of cosmetic companies I feel somewhat qualified to offer my opinion:
Definitely positive is the value for money ratio. If you shop at some perfumeries or pharmacies and look at the prices for luxury brands, you will find their prices are much higher.
The naked truth is that n the world of cosmetic and perfumes it is all about marketing and positioning, and this means primarily products are differentiated by price. Most often it has no impact on the quality.
Actually, most manufacturers and not fully utilising their production, so what they do is they manufacture private labels for other brands. This way they improve their plant utilisation and they don't destroy their own brand and pricing by producing exactly the same quality product at a much lower price.
Body shop, like many other brands, is a marketing brand and not a manufacturer, and this means you might get big brands in a body shop packaging.
There is some discussion about the ethical aspects of Body shop products. Anita Roderick started the company and was successful because she is against animal testing and pro fair trade, and this is still the leading policy, against what some press says.
Hope this is helpful.

I think they are great.
I have been using body shop for approx 9 years.
I started with the white musk scented products, purfume, body lotion, bath soap, after that I got addicted to the coconut lip butter, they also have orange chocolate lip butter, great melon scented body butter, and I found amazing tee tree oil face wash that works amazing, their hand creams are also great, and the best part of body shop must be the scents and the fact that they are against animal testing!

They're fine. They are very expensive for what they are though. There are much better cheaper ones around such as Boot's No. 7 range - they don't look as pretty on your dressing table but are basically the same.
