For example, someone took the time to ask when international Earth Day was. Typing it into Google instantly tells you the answer. What gives?

Not sure what 'llordlloyd' was getting at down there. I asked a question that required more than a Google search.

However, doing a Google search on 'llordlloyd' revealed that he enjoys Internet Porn:

Touche Jeeper_creeper321! I suppose I wanted opinionated answers to my own question, not a factual answer.

1)some people would rather let others do their work.
2)some people don't know or understand teh advanced search capabilities of Google, and become frustrat4ed when confronte by millions of web pages.
3)some questions ask for an opinion - not googleable
4)some questions require complex answers that wouldn't be included in any single source
5)some questions require an answer that only personal experience can answer.

I've thought about this a lot, so thanks for asking the question.

Personally, my favorite "best answer" was when a young woman was preparing to audition for a singing part in a school play, and was plagued with a dry throat whenever she sang in public. My answer went far beyond "drink lots of water" since I've sung in public for 40 years, and still do today. She got the part, and I got a feeling that was worth far more than 10 points!

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://bitly.im/aNHOd

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Yeah,That's Right. But have u noticed one thing,U can get different views from people who answer. If u check Google..U get the site which has paid Google to displat thier site first. So there are chances that u might miss some site, which really has a good potential. But one thing is sure.GOOGLE or Yahoo..wat ever search engine..they make money out of us.All are part of the so called Globalization. So if u r clever enough to get ur answer in Seconds..Why to log on Yahoo. But have u noticed..even ur question is also answered here...which u r unable to get it in Google

most of it seems like sheer laziness to me...i'm convinced there is a % of the population who want others' to do their work for them. it takes just as long to do a google search as it does to ask a question and post it. i prefer to do my own research and learn something, rather than rely on an answer that may not be accurate.

Angryman, why did you feel it was necessary to ask your question on here ?

When a simple internet search would have shown, it has been asked many times before and you would have had your answer.

So, now that you have done the exact same thing your question was about, you can tell us,

why did you do it ????

Who knows, maybe they just want to see how many people actually know...which again, it's a no brainer because it's answer could be found out by typing it into google! LOL

Perhaps it's because they find the answers they receive to be far more entertaining than a search engine.

Well, you don't have the priority to comment on others as its his own loss of points, not yours.
We can ask anything we want to.
Please don't create this topic on purpose for people to comment on others. Its bad.
