well as long as you have a stable job, and home, plenty of food and proper sleeping courters for the girls as well as a realiable babysitter, preferably someone over 20, then i would state your case to a judge to grant you more access. I might even consider getting child protective services involved to help you out.
You also have to have a very strong support system for this to work. Eventually you could get full custody.
Good Luck!

Your lawyer should be fighting for your visitation or custody rights. You should be having them every other weekend by the ages of 6 and 9 years old.
You need to impress on the judge that you want to stay part of the children's lives and you need to impress on your lawyer that he needs to make sure you get a generous custody settlement.
If you have made a jerk out of yourself by being a druggie or alcoholic in front of the girls up til now, then you don't deserve to have them in your control because you can't control yourself. You need to do some growing up and proving that you can be a worthy parent and then submit a request for additional visits after 6 mo or whatever the law allows for new petitions on custody. Keep the Faith.

You two bought these girls into the world together, you bought them up together. If you can stay friendly with each other for the sake of the girls and what would be best for them that would be great if not get a mediator involved until you can both come to an agreement. Most times if the bloke is working she will get custody and you will get them every other weekend and the holidays swap between you both.

both parents should put the children's needs first and in the future this action will shine as bright as the sun.
